Leaving the Faroes for Copenhagen

I’ll be taking a 2:45 p.m. flight out of the Faroe Islands and will spend one night in Copenhagen, then on to Dublin,Ireland.  I have so much on my mind and heart right now I cannot begin to give it justice. Tomorrow is another day.

    Hey Laureen 🙂
I hope you had a nice and safe trip to Danmark. It was really nice having you here. All the best on the rest of your journey.

  2. Laureen, I’d love to hear the story behind this photo. I noticed in the other photos from the Faroe Islands that it often seemed cloudy or foggy. It’s nice to see a blue sky in this photo. Is a clear day unusual there? Sounds like you are sad to be leaving your friends there.

    • Hi Anna Mae,
I have hundreds of photos and you’re right, many are cloudy, but there are so many I haven’t posted that are very clear, as well.

I don’t have the story of this sculpture. I just thought it was funny. Yes, saying goodbye was not easy. I love this family so much. And Arngrim is such a good friend.

  3. What a cool sculpture!! I’d love to know the story — it’s totally hilarious and awesome all rolled into one!! 🙂 Looking forward to seeing a few pics of Ireland and reading about the next chapter in your adventure!!

  4. Hi Amanda,

I’m about to write the next chapter. I’m now in Ireland. Grueling trip, but I’m here now.

Your pictures are outstanding. We too, wonder about the horizontal man!? All is well here, Mary and Sarah are making apricot jam, there will be a jar (or two) waiting for you. Tomorrow they are making plum jam,
Have you recieved any mail from us? We miss you.

    • Hi all,
The person holding the two stones together is a woman. Don’t know the story. Jam sounds good.

I received the eulogy and sent a note to you that I thought it was beautifully written. The other letter hasn’t arrived. I sent you an email about that.

Arngrim is watching for it, and I know he would tell me right away if/when it arrives/ed. I’m wondering a bit about it. See my email.
